Holiday accommodation sleeping up to 16 guests, 98 Fountain Villas is a Grade 2 listed Georgian style house built in 1847 situated in the centre of the famous tourist town of Matlock Bath in the Derbyshire Dales on the edge of the Peak District and in the World Heritage Site of the Derwent Valley.

The seven-bedroom, four-bathroom villa has free Wi-Fi and off road parking for 5 cars along with all the comforts of home over three floors.

Sleeping up to 16 guests the villa is an ideal location for large families and friends to get together for a holiday or to celebrate a special occasion. The house is well equipped and comfortably furnished to provide a relaxing base from which to explore the surrounding area.

Situated on Matlock Baths promenade a selection of cafes, restaurants and pubs are a short stroll away. Opposite number 98 the Jubilee Bridge over the river Derwent links the promenade to the “Lovers Walk” along the riverside with children’s play areas and the historical park. In September and October during the Matlock Bath Illuminations the walk is illuminated along with a parade of decorated boats on the river at weekends and on Saturdays, a spectacular cliff top fireworks display.

Holidaying in Matlock Bath, you are surrounded by stunning scenery and are following in the footsteps of some very famous visitors. Princess Victoria in 1832 confirmed Matlock Bath as a society venue of the time. The area continues to be extremely popular with visitors from all over the UK and the world. The stunning rockfaces of High Tor and the surrounding countryside led Lord Byron comparing it with alpine Switzerland, leading to a nickname of Little Switzerland
Also, within walking distance is Gulliver’s Kingdom theme park, the Cable Cars to The Heights of Abraham and lots of smaller attractions and bespoke shops.
Further afield in the Derbyshire Dales & Peak District are a host of local attractions including the stately homes of Chatsworth House & Hadden Hall, along with miles of walks through the dales & peaks stunning countryside. Accommodation at 98 Fountain Villas is set over three floors sleeping up to sixteen guests plus infants in seven bedrooms with four bathrooms. The ground floor is the location of the main kitchen, lounge and dining room. The first floor has four bedrooms, one on-suite with a family bathroom. The top floor has a further three bedrooms with one on-suite a family bathroom and a breakfast kitchen.

Outside, at the front of the house there is parking for up to 5 cars and a seating area overlooking the promenade and with views along the River Derwent. A side path leads to an enclosed courtyard with access into the kitchen.

The rear garden and patio are terraced above the courtyard and are accessed by steps from the front parking area and through the breakfast kitchen on the second floor. This private patio is ideal for a morning coffee or a glass of wine after a day spent exploring the Derbyshire Dales and all the area has to offer.
